Halfords also sell the Boardman ranges which are generally regarded as good value for money and often bought by people though employers’ ‘bike to work’ schemes. Some people have had problems with pre-sales (and general) service and quality.
A lot of people buy bikes from larger (non-specialist) retailers. Some are completely happy with the value for money and general convenience, some take to cycling in a big way and investigate some of the ‘specialist’ bike shops in Edinburgh.
Others are disappointed by buying cheap heavy bikes and fail to find the fun!
